Newest Addition to the safe

1911.JPG

Smith & Wesson SW1911 in Stainless Steel. I’ve already ordered a new holster for it. I’m stepping away from my usual CrossBreed purchase to try something new. A friend has a Southern Holsters IWB that looks like it would be very comfortable. I ordered one of those to give it a try. Only 3-4 weeks to be made and delivered, supposedly. I suppose we’ll see.

  2. Didn’t S&W sell out to the gun control nuts? I mis remember where this was but I know sales have slowed because of this…. Buy Colt!!

  3. Sell out how? I own 3 S&W pistols. 2 of them are great. One blows, but I figured it would when I bought it.

To this day, nothing beats my Sig.

  4. They supported some piece of asinine gun control legislation. Go to Goals website. I’ve used many weapons to this day the only pistol I trust is the 1911. Former mud puppie..

  5. Very nice purchase! I have heard nothing but good things about Smith & Wesson’s new line of 1911 pistols. Please let us all know how it shoots.

Unfortunately, I can’t afford those high end 1911’s, so I have to stick with the Springfield Armory models. 😉

  6. Uhhh….. sell out to gun control nuts??? I don’t know about that; I’m sure there are 2 sides to every story.

You’ve got to be kidding about buying Colt. Colt has not produced anything worth a darn in years. Way overpriced, and way out of touch regarding current shooting trends in the civilian market.

  7. I have my grandfathers 1911. Its the only pistol I trust. I carried that weapons brother all over Asia, not one problem. There was a stink by S&W over its support of some gun control issues. Look it up. BTW Geoffrey, you still residing in the peoples republic?

  8. I am. I can’t say I like it, either. If you could remove the people, this would be a great place to live.

  9. At least let the western part of this commonwealth cede from beacon hills grip. It makes me wish the Shays rebellion succeeded. At least then boston could have had better roads after the fact!

  10. Sadly, the moonbat liberalism is creeping west. Not that it matters to me. I live smack dab in the middle of moonbat mecca.

  11. Just so y’know, it was Bangor Punta, the former (spineles, British) S&W ownership, which colluded with the vile Clinton (in)Justice Department, in regards to (so-called) High Capacity Magazines in relation to the ’94 AWB. (which thankfully, died it’s appointed death via the Sunset provision.)

Anyway, S&W’s new (American!) owners have thorougly thrown-out the aforementined Clinton deal, and now crank out a gunly cornocopia of shooting goodness.

Among dedicated shooters, S&W is these days, on the side of the Angels. That S&W not only produces High Capacity semiauto pistols (and their magazines) to a wholesome public appetite for the same is proof enough. But that they also now manufacture a top-grade AR-15 clone, pretty much puts paid to the sins of their past.

Buy S&W, and buy American, in good consience.

  14. hi there all you gun toting american freaks. All guns should be banned and all gun holders are losers. I have lost 1 arm, 1 hand, four finger and a thumb to gun crime. I think it is apalling that you all own these weapons, I think they should all be banned.

  15. Yeah. It’s the gun’s fault you lost your arm. It would have nothing to do with a criminal.

I lost an uncle to car crime. They should ban cars. All you car owning freaks are losers.

A local family lost their child to playground crime. Ok, maybe it wasn’t crime. She fell off the monkey bars and broke her neck. They should ban monkey bars. All you monkey bar owners are losers.

Several thousand people lost their lives recently to box cutter crime. They should ban box cutters. All you box cutter owners are losers.

I read in the paper today a woman and man lost their lives to circular saw crime. They should ban circular saws. All you circular saw owners are losers.

You’re an idiot. You type well one-handed, though.
