Hunting season is on its way!

It’s almost here. I’m thinking of picking up a new shotgun this week. I’m pretty sure I know what I want, but I’ll hold that info for later. It’s going to be a general purpose gun.

What do you use? What would your suggestion be?

  1. Mossberg 500? I’ve had one for years. Short money and lasts forever.

  2. I, too like the Mossberg 500. I use mine for home defense, thought. I picked up a Mossberg International Silver Reserve Over/Under for sporting clays (I don’t hunt. Yet.) Great gun, small bucks.

  3. I’m not much on guns, but damn that’s a nice looking gun for the price…

  4. I’m not a huge Mossberg fan. It’s an intro level gun, and performs like it. The older mossbergs were built better then the later models. The slides have a lot of play, the safety is weak, etc.

They’re inexpensive, and well worth the price, though. They had a 500 on sale for 150 bucks at dicks the other day.
